Why I'm Proud to be Canadian Essay Contest

Dear Parents, Principals and Teachers,

In January, the Kinette club of London is running the essay contest for the Grade 5 and Grade 6 students of the London area. The topic is, "Why I am proud to be Canadian," and should run from 250 to 350 words.

For the past 10 years the Kinette Club of London has sponsored this contest. Several schools use this contest as part of their Canadian History curriculum. The students, their families and whole schools take pride in participating in the contest.

We would like to invite all students and teachers of Grade 5 and Grade 6 to participate in showing your Canadian pride.

Summary of details:

The contest begins Jan. 15 and is open to all Grade 5 and Grade 6 students within the London area. Please submit before Feb. 15, Canada's Heritage Day. The winners will be contacted.
Submissions can be sent to:
Why I'm Proud to be Canadian Essay Contest,
PO 633 Stn B London, ON, N6A 4Y4

A prize will be given to the two winning authors plus a class party for the two homerooms.
